The film was shot on locale in New Mexico. Parker edited the film during principal images, but was not on area. one Principal photography concluded in November 2012, right after forty two days of filming. Production moved to Chilili, New Mexico for two weeks of filming. In the movie, the 4-guy SEAL reconnaissance workforce is uncovered by 3 goat herders-an aged guy and two teenage boys.
